Organization and Operation
Yam Pukri functions under the statute of an association that is directed by a president and managed by a coordinator in charge of administration and finances. There are twelve salaried positions as well as a number of contract positions that support special projects. If occasional collaborators and active members are included in the count, Yam Pukri’s team consists of thirty (and up to fifty) employees.
The staff finds merit in their work through the possibility of progression and each person is responsible for a specific project.
There are six departments:
– administration and accounting
– training and course development
– IT support and maintenance
– multi media production (videos, recording studio, desk top publishing)
– youth relations
– statistical studies and evaluations
One person can work under a number of different sections.

– A conference room
– A computer lab with 30 networked computers
– A cybercafé
– An ICT museum
– A space for web development and video production
– An office for the coordinator/administrator with secretarial reception

– Two rooms for workshops and training sessions
– Internal and external washrooms
– A space for coffee breaks
Various means of transportation that include:

Audio video materials such as:

In the past few years, Yam Pukri has received many national and international distinctions for effective work, recognition from the Burkina Faso government for its involvement in NTIC for development and participated in many international conferences, summits and symposiums.
